Tony LaRussa is joining his buddy on a new team; at least for the spring.
The recently-retired manager will be with his friend and fellow captain Jim Leyland during Tigers spring training.
"Tony's going to be down for a couple weeks. He's going to work with [Dave Dombrowski] in the front office, and he's going over to Jupiter for a few days and then go out to Arizona for a few days. He will not be in uniform."
Tony has said he wants a job in baseball, though after over 30 years of managing, he's understandably done there. Maybe Detroit is his next destination after retiring on top with the Cards?
